Learned 3S from Pizza, Bug and Fun

An opportunity to contribute in Joomla - Make it better

We Ready Bytians feel really excited while working on Joomla - Pizza Bug and Fun event held on 17 Oct, 2014.

Its our belief that with every event you can learn something and if the event is of Joomla World then you can simply learn a lot. This event is a completely "Win - Win condition" for each participant.

Here are the things which we have learned from this event :-

  1. Great opportunity to learn more about Joomla for every participant ie beginner, intermediate, and advanced user.
  2. Gates were open for all including non technical members also ie whether you are a developer, tester, Frontend user, manager, project leader, language manager, translator etc - all are welcome :)
  3. Good place to connect with Joomla and start managing standards like Joomla in your own business.
  4. Availability of Experts to share and discuss their knowledge in Joomla community.
  5. The most important thing we learned is 3S : “Speed, Scale and Supremacy”- If you are not fast enough to code/debug/test/suggest then others will do it.

Event stated “Pizza, Bug and Fun”. Truly speaking we have followed all 3 things. Started with finding bugs and then finishes off with pizza which all brings lots of fun.

Our contributions in Joomla! refer to below 4 sections :-

Mobile Testing and Issue Fixing -

Other name of Joomla 3 series is mobile based CMS. So we started with Mobile testing and found one bug wrt view layout of template is not responsive.

Patch Testing

Tested patch with Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 3 series using patch tester component. Easy way to test patches by Apply and Revert patch.

Issue Reported and Fixed -

हिन्दी Language pack for Joomla 3.x.

Done something to Flourish Joomla even more. Completed language pack in our Native language “Hindi”. A step to introduce Joomla as India’s CMS. अब आप अपनी जूमला सीएमएस साइट को अपनी हिन्दी भाषा में लिख एवम पढ़ सकते हैं.

We love Joomla and want to grow with Joomla as the best CMS in Web Industry. This type of event help to bring people closer to Joomla community and Joomla group.
