Project Overview
Screenable is a video analytics platform built for the film industry, measuring how audiences engage with films and trailers — completion rates, viewer behavior, and audience retention — so filmmakers and distributors can see how their content actually performs. Ready Bytes built the platform end to end: frontend, backend, and the analytics engine behind it.
The platform is in production for Screenable Portugal, where film studios use it to track engagement on their trailers and films.
What We Built
- Nuxt.js/Vue 3 frontend — server-side rendering with the Vue 3 composition API, delivered as a Progressive Web App
- Node.js and MySQL backend — API layer and data storage for the platform
- CaddyServer — reverse proxy and HTTPS termination
- Cloud Functions — serverless processing for real-time engagement data, scaling without dedicated infrastructure to manage
- Custom engagement-scoring engine — purpose-built algorithms to track and measure viewer engagement across films and trailers
