Project Overview

Pictory (pictory.ai) is an AI-powered video creation platform that turns text content into video. Across 2023–2024, Ready Bytes built Pictory's Zapier integration for the US-based team at Pictory, Corp., connecting the platform to Zapier's ecosystem of 2,000+ apps.

We built the integration end to end: Zapier triggers and actions, the webhook layer that keeps automations in sync in real time, and the API endpoints that let Pictory's video generation engine be driven from other tools. Thousands of Pictory users now run their video workflows through it.

What We Built

• Zapier trigger and action support — built the integration against Zapier's platform so Pictory connects to its ecosystem of 2,000+ apps, covering the triggers and actions needed to start and manage video creation from outside Pictory.
• Reliable webhook processing — added a retry and queue system on top of the webhook layer so automations keep working when an individual call fails, instead of silently dropping.
• API layer for video generation — REST endpoints, authentication, and rate limiting in front of Pictory's video generation engine, template selection, and render queue, so external tools can trigger renders programmatically.
• Automated publishing — a WordPress post goes live, Pictory renders a video from it, and the video posts automatically to social accounts on Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter.
• Content pipelines — new content in a CMS like Webflow triggers a video render, with the finished file delivered to cloud storage such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
• Marketing and project workflows — a step in an email tool like Mailchimp or ConvertKit, or a task in Trello, Asana, or Monday.com, triggers a video render as part of a larger campaign or project.
